Remarks: The new species is well characterized by the geniculate rostral setae, the lack of setal alveoli of setae ta and the long, simple but well-ciliate notogastral setae. On the basis of the shape of rostral setae it belongs to the alliance of M. wilsoni Aoki, 1964 and M. laniseta Moritz, 1966, however, the notogastral setae of the new species are much longer than those of M. wilsoni and no alveoli of setae ta visible, which are well observable in the other two species. Oxyoppia complicata sp.n. Measurements. - Length: 236-260 urn, width: 118-134 urn. Prodorsum: Rostrum wide, rostral setae arising dorsally but far from each other, longer than either lamellar or interlamellar setae, the two latter of nearly equal length. Costulae long, two very weak and hardly discernible transcostulae present. Anterior one also far from the end of costulae. There are two pairs of rounded spots in the interlamellar region, but one pair of tubercles missing. Lateral part of prodorsum also strongly chitinized, a robust lateral costula, directed toward bothridium, also present, this region (Fig. 16) granulate. Sensillus (Fig. 14) with rounded spinose head. Notogaster: Anterior margin with typical tubercles laterally, their inner line long, also observable on the notogastral surface. Ten pairs of bacilliform notogastral setae present (Fig. 13). Coxisternal region: Apodemes short, weakly developed, ap. sej. shorter than ap. 2. All epimeral borders well visible, bo. sej. very broad. Epimeral surface polygonate (Fig. 15), some strong chitinous laths present on the lateral part of this region. Discidium rounded. Epimeral setae - with the exception of setae 3c - short, setae lc arising laterally on the margin of pedotecta 1. Anogenital region: Identical with the type of this genus. Lyrifissure iad very long, originating in apoanal position. Material examined: Holotypus (1188-HO-86): No. 74; 2 paratypes: from the same sample. Holotypus and 1 paratype (1188-PO-86) deposited in the HNHM and 1 paratype in: MHNG.
