Remarks: This is the fourth Ethiopian species of the genus Oxyoppia Balogh et Mahunka, 1969. They are distinquishable by the following key: 1 ( 4) Well-developed transcostula present, originating immediately near to the cuspis of costula. 2 ( 3) Costulae running far from-each other (cf. MAHUNKA 1983: fig. 3). Sensillus with 11-12 branches bituberculatus (Balogh, 1958) 3 ( 2) Costulae running nearer (partly parallel) to each other. Sensillus with 6-8 branches struthio Mahunka, 1983 4 ( 1) Transcostula absent, if a weak transline present, then originating far from the cuspis of costula. 5 ( 6) Head of sensillus elongate, lanceolate. A pair of tubercles present in interbothridial region saskai (Balogh, 1961) 6 ( 5) Head of sensillus clavate, rounded. No tubercle in the interbothridial region clavata sp.n. Figs 13-15.
