Cretoppia gen. n. Diagnosis: Family Oppiïdae. Rostral part of prodorsum wide, its lateral margin strongly bent backwards, they compose a channel opening vetrally. Interlamellar area characteristically framed laterally and basally, costulae absent. Sensillus bacilliform. Crista present. Ten pairs of minute notogastral setae, on the anterior part of notogaster only 3 pairs present. Epimeral setal formula: Fig. 45. Antennoppia granulata sp.n. lateral part of prodorsum 2-0-2-3. Setae lb and lc stand very close to each other. Apodemes 3 and 4 absent. Anogenital setal formula: 6-1-2-3, setae adj and ad 2 in adanal, ad 3 in preanal position. Lyrifissure iad in apoanal position. Legs monodactylous, with strong apophyses, crests or spurs. Type species: Cretoppia creta sp.n. Remarks: The new taxon belongs to the relationship of the genus Teratoppia Balogh, 1959, however it is distinguished from both genera by the characteristic formation of the prodorsum, by the strong crista, the position of the epimeral and anogenital setae and lyrifissures iad.
