The present record from SE im­plies its widespread occurrence in the Ko­rean Peninsula. In southern Honshu and Ky­ushu (Japan), this species is confined to mountaneous areas. The same trend is ex­pected for the Korean population. Coloration: (Worker) Head black; plumose hairs above ocelli pale yellow.Me­sosoma black; collaris moderately wide at­taining anterior one-third to two-fifths of mesoscutal length, pale yellow with sparse admixture of black hairs; suctellaris ante­riorly intermixed with pale yellowish hairs in one specimens, posteriorly mixed with variable a­mount of pale yellow hairs, few to predominant; pleura above two-thirds pale yellow or whitish, posteriorly with sparse to considerable admixture of black hairs. Metasoma T^ pale yellow with sparse admixture of black hairs; Tg ochreous yellow, mediapically triangularly mixed with black hairs of variable amount; T„ entirely black; T^ deep orange, basally narrowly mixed with black Fig. 1.
