Material examined: Stara Planina (Bulgaria), Comana Vlasca (Rumania). Aradus bimaculatus Reuter, 1872 Third instar larva (Figs 25, 28): Coloration similar to that of the fourth and fifth instar. Head 0.8 times as long as wide, without pre- and postocular tubercles. Antenna slender, joints 2 and 3 thickening apically. Relative length of antennái joints 1 to 4 as 16:26:19:39. Rostrum reaching beyond hind margin of prosternum. Pro- meso- and metanotum slightly increasingly wide, former two equilongous medially, on mesonotum three moderate arches marking scutellum and wing pads. Abdomen oval, segment 9 widening posteriorly, laterotergites pointed. Tip of segment 10 much surpassing that of 9 and 8, latter the shortest. Material examined: Föglö (Finland). Figs 25-34. Head 0.8 times as long as wide. Antenna relatively short, slender, joints 2 and 3 thickening apically. Pre- and postocular tubercles blunt, low. Vertex with U-shaped depression. Relative length of antennái joints 1 to 4 as 15:32:20:33. Rostrum reaching beyond hind margin of prosternum. Pronotum about 3.8 times as wide as long. Median carinae distinctly yellowish or with yellow granulation. Lateral margin serrate, straight or slightly convex. Posterolateral angle of laterotergites rounded, slightly increasingly protruding from 6 to 8. Granulation surrounding apodemal impressions and on posterior margin of segments often yellow.
