Tip of segment 10 distinctly surpassing equilongous segments 8 and 9. Material examined: Föglö (Finland). Fifth instar larva (Figs 27, 30): Coloration similar to that of the fourth instar. Head about 0.8 times as long as wide, with blunt, low pre- and postocular tubercles. Antenna relatively short, slender, joint 2 more thickening in apical half than basally, 3 also thickening apically. Relative length of antenna! joints 1 to 4 as 16:37:20:27. Rostrum reaching beyond hind margin of prosternum. Pronotum about 3.5 times as wide as long. Lateral margin serrate, slightly concave medially, posterolateral angle widely rounded. Lateral margin of laterotergites convex,posterolateral angles rounded, increasingly protruding posteriorly. Ventral lateral apodemal impressions elongate. Tip of segments 8 and 10 reaching equally beyond that of 9. Material examined: Föglö (Finland). Aradus kuthyi Horváth, 1899 Fourth instar larva (Figs 31, 33): Variegated reddish or blackish brown, with distinct whitish markings on median part of meso- and metanotum, tergites 1-3, 7, 8 and around dorsal Figs 35-39.
