tergite 9 not reaching posterolateral angle of laterotergite 8, segment 10 surpassing both of them. Material examined: Dörnbach (Austria). Aradus serbicus Horváth, 1888 Fourth instar larva (Figs 21, 23): Coloration yellowish orange, granulation especially dense on margins and carinae. Head about as long as wide, with rounded preocular and low postocular tubercle. Antenniferous tubercle thick, not pointed, without distinct tooth laterally. Antenna relatively long and thick, joint 2 slightly thickening toward apex, 3 cylindrical. Relative length of antenna! joints 1 to 4 as 14:30:25:31. Rostrum reaching about the middle of prosternum. Pronotum about 3.5 times as wide as long. Lateral margin convex, anterolateral angle widely, posterolateral angle sharply rounded, median carinae parallel, thick. Abdomen with decreasingly elevated oblique tubercles on segments 3-6. Lateral margin of laterotergites straight, posterolateral angles rounded, protruding. Tip of segment 10 reaching far beyond that of equilongous 8 and 9. Material examined: Stara Planina (Bulgaria). Figs 21-24. Aradus serbicus, antennae (21, 22) and habituses (23, 24). 21, 23 = L , 22, 24 = L 4 5 Fifth instar larva (Figs 22, 24): Yellowish orange or yellowish red, granulation partly brown, especially dense on margins and carinae. Head about 0.9 times as long as wide, with swollen intraocular carina, preocular tubercle rounded, high, postocular tubercle low. Antenniferous tubercle thick, not pointed, with slight mark of a lateral tooth, possibly hidden beneath dense granulation. Antenna long, strong, joint 2 thickening in basal 1/4 then cylindrical, joint 3 cylindrical. Relative length of antennái joints 1 to 4 as 14:34:26:26. Rostrum almost reaching middle of prosternum. Pronotum relatively narrow, 2.6 times as wide as long. Lateral margin and median carinae as above. Abdomen with decreasingly high oblique tubercles on segments 3-6. Lateral margin of laterotergites slightly convex, posterolateral angles rounded, less protruding than in the fourth instar. Laterotergites swollen. Tip of segments 8 and 10 about equally surpassing that of 9.
