Figs 13-20. Aradus distinctus (13-16) and A. mirus (17-20), antennae (13, 14, 17, 18) and habituses (15, 16, 19, 20). 13, 15, 17, 19 = L , 14, 16, 18, 20 = L 4 5 Aradus mirus Bergroth, 1894 Fourth instar larva (Figs 17, 19): Oval, almost unicolorous reddish brown, antennae brown, and with yellow marks on head and abdomen around apodemal impressions. Head about 0.75 times as long as wide, vertex more or less flat, preocular tubercles absent, postocular tubercles small, blunt. Antennae very thick, 5.5 times as long as thick across joint 3, densely granulated. Relative length of antennái joints 1 to 4 as 15:28:24:33. Rostrum reaching about 1/4 of prosternum. Pronotum 3.7 times as wide as long. Lateral margin slightly arcuate, finely serrate, posterolateral angle rounded. Median carinae hardly elevated. Abdomen without elevations. Lateral margin of laterotergites rounded from 2 to 8, increasingly convex, serrate. Posteromedian part of tergites with scarce smaller and two larger yellow granules, latter situated medially and posteriorly to midlateral impression. Dorsal lateral apodemal impressions relatively large. Laterotergite 9 surpassing rounded posterolateral angle of segment 8, segment 10 much surpassing the other two. Material examined: Dornbach (Austria). Fifth instar larva (Figs 18, 20): General shape and coloration similar to that of the fourth instar. Head about 0.85 times as long as wide, preocular tubercle absent, postocular tubercle with dark granulation. Antenna very thick, 5.1 times as long as thick across joint 3. Relative length of antennái joints 1 to 4 as 13:32:26:29. Rostrum reaching about 1/4 of prosternum. Pronotum narrow, about 2.9 times as wide as long, more or less flat but with denser granulation along the slightly elevated median and lateral carinae. Lateral margin of laterotergites only slightly arcuate. Posterolateral angles rounded, increasingly protruding on laterotergites 3-8. Lateral margin of laterotergite 8 with an obtuseangled, short tooth behind spiracle. Tip of narrow latero-
