Material examined: Aggtelek, Budapest, Kishuta, Kispöse, Sopron (Hungary), Trieste (Italy), Zichybarlang (Vadul Crisului, Rumania). Fifth instar larva (Figs 3, 6): Coloration similar to that of the fourth instar, antennái joints 1-2 and basis of 3 with black granulation, and with yellow marks on pronotum, scutellum and wing pads. Tip of wing pads and tergite 1 brown. Posterolateral angle of abdominal segments distinctly yellow. Head about 0.8 times as long as wide, preocular tubercle developed, blunt, postocular tubercle small, conspicuously granulated. Antenniferous tubercle acute. Antenna more or less cylindrical, relative length of antennái joints 1 to 4 as 15:20:31:34. Rostrum reaching little beyond hind margin of prosternum. Pronotum more than 3.5 times as wide as long, lateral margin serrate, straight or slightly concave anteriorly, posterolateral angle widely rounded. Median carinae prominent converging posteriorly. Lateral margin of laterotergites convex, posterolateral angles rounded, laterotergite 8 with prominent brown tooth medially. Tip of segment 8 much surpassing that of 9 and 10, former the shortest. Material examined: Budapest, Diósjenő, Pécel, Rostalló, Sátoraljaújhely, Uzsabánya (Hungary), Körtvélyes (Hrusov, Czechoslovakia), Szécs, Zichybarlang (Seci and Vadul Crisului, Rumania). Aradus depressus (Fabricius, 1794) Fourth instar larva (Figs 7, 9): Brown with yellow marks on head, median carinae of pronotum, lateral margin of scutellum, wing pads, mediolateral parts of abdominal tergites 1-3, middle of tergites 6-8 and on laterotergites, also with scarce red coloration. Head about 0.9 times as long as wide, preocular tubercle yellow, pointed, postocular tubercle very small. Vertex with Figs 7-12.
