SAKAGAMI recorded this form only from NE. The present study revealed its occurrence also in SE. Specific distribution: Siberia including Kamtchatka, west to E. Poland (TKALCÛ 1974); S.Kuriles (ITO and SAKAGAMI op. cit.), N. China (Manchuria), Ussuri, Hokkaido, Saghalien (SAKAGAMI et ISHIKAWA op. cit.). Psithyrus (Fernaldaepsithyrus) sylvestris popovi Yasumatsu* Psithyrus (Fernaldaepsithyrus) sylvestris var. popovi Yasumatsu 1939a, Kansai-Kontyû-gakkai-Kaihô 9 (2) Loc. No. 11: 1 female; Fig. 19. YASUMATSU (1939a) described this subspecies from Shôyô-zan, Keiki-dô (= Kyonggydo), Central Korea. This record reconfirms the occurrence of this form there. As to other Korean Psithyrus species, all described from NE, see YASUMATSU (1934, 1939b) and TKALCÛ (1959). Coloration: (Female) Head black;plumose hairs on the postocellar area ochreous.Mesosoma black; dorsum anteriorly pale ochre; posterior margin of scutellum with fair admixture of pale ochreous hairs; pleura above pale ochre. Metasoma T^ mostly pale ochre; Tg black but apical margin with brownish tint; Tg black with considerable admixture of whitish hairs, laterally and lateroapically dirty white; T4 pale ochre, basally with sparse black hairs; Tg basally black, gradually lightened to brown toward apical margin; Tg and venter black. Legs black, long tibial hairs with yellowish tips. Specific distribution: Siberia including Kamtchatka, Europe, Ussuri, Altai, Mongolia (after POPOV 1931), Korea. Faunistic Remarks A total of 16 forms examined in this study fairly overlapped with those studied by SAKAGAMI (op. cit.), who recorded 14 forms.Among the forms recorded by him only two species, Figs 59.
