Apanteles cheleB Nixon, 1972 - Outer side of hind tibia with extremely numerous spines. Propodeum rugulose (or rugose), Its postero-lateral surface smooth to uneven. First tergite with feebly converging sides. Ocelli near to each other, hind imaginary tangent to fore ocellus transect ing hind pair of ocellus. Stigma hardly more than twice as long as wide (50:23-22), usually with a basal distinct, and an apical less distinct pale spot, metacarp usually also pale. - Distribution: described from Sweden and Finland. New to the fauna of Hungary. Supposedly a European species. Localities: Egyek, Ohati-erdő, 1 <j> and 1 if. Komló, Hidasi völgy, 1 o.. Nagykovácsi, Julianna-major, host collected 23.V.1979, on Malus domestica, ex Croesia holmiana L. 4. June 1979 (new host), 1 <j>, leg. et educ. Bálás K. - V-VI. Apanteles decorus (Haliday, 1834) Microgaster decorus Halidy, 1834, Entom. Magaz., 2: 245, o<5. Apanteles lineatus Reinhard, 1880, Dtsch. Ent. Zschr., 24: 366 (in key) and 25: 45, oé (abbreviated synonymization in Papp 1978) The above synonymization is based on the examination and comparison of the "type" of A . lineatus Reinh. to an authentic female of A. decorus (Hal.) (det. Nixon). - Very similar to _A_. dilectus (Hal.), their distinctive features are tabulated below: A. decorus (Hal.) Stigma relatively large and wide, at most twice as long as wide, evenly brown to pale brown. First tergite either parallel-sided or with faintly converging sides posteriorly, distinctly 1.5 times longer than wide at hind (Fig. 59 in PAPP 1979a). Penultimate two joints 1.4 timeB longer than broad. A. dilectus (Hal.) 1. Stigma of usual size, 2.2-2.3 times as long as wide, brown with a distinct pale or yellow basal spot. 2. First tergite relatively broad, widest before its distal end, at most 1.4/-1.5/ times longer than wide at hind (Fig. 117 in PAPP 1978). 3. Penultimate two joints of antenna, cubic or subcubic. Distribution: listed in the northern half of Europe, distributed eastwards in the USSR as far as Estonia, Kazakhstan and Irkutsk. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Bakonyszentlászló, osfenyves (Dicrano-Pinetum), 1 o.. Horná Suca (Slovakia), 1 o_. - V and VII. Apanteles dilectus (Haliday, 1834) (= femoralis Bouché, 1834). - A. dilectus (Hal.) and A. decorus (Hal.) are deceptively similar to each other, their specific distinction is tabulated above. Distribution: frequent in Europe, reported from Armenia and Siberia in the USSR. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Olaszfalu, Alsópere, 1 ç. Sellye, host collected 6. VI. 1978 on Syringa vulgaris L. ex Gracillaria anastomosis Hw. 16. VI. 1978 (host new), 3 o_ and 1 &, leg. et educ. L. Szalay. Szank, host collected 7.VI. 1966, ex Caloptilia roscipenella Hbn. 28.VI. 1966, 3 o_ and 2 leg. et educ. Saiics. Apanteles drusilla Nixon, 1972 - Extremely similar to A . albipennis (Nees), previously the name drusilla was considered to be a junior synonym of albipennis by me (PAPP 1973). This was a mistake, I failed to notice thoroughly some features accepted in my recent comprehension as specific differences between them: A . albipennis (Nees) Head in dorsal view as wide as thorax between tegulae. Preapical three joints of antenna at least onequarter longer than broad, only exceptionally subcubic. Mesonotum with discrete though relatively less deep and less Btrong punctation, interspaces faintly dull to subshiny, along notaulic course punctures somewhat crowded . A. drusilla Nixon Head in dorsal view distinctly not so wide as thorax between tegulae. Preapical three joints of antenna transverse to cubic. Mesonotum with discrete, relatively deep and strong punctation, interspaces polished and minutely increasing in size posteriorly. Still the expounded differences are very difficult to recognize, a good practice is required
