Apanteles evonymellae (Bouché, 1834) Microgaster evonymellae Bouché, 1834, Naturg. InBect. Deutsch., p. 158, o_. Apanteles iarbas Nixon, 1972, Bull.ent. Res., 61: 713, o_<f (abbreviated synonymization in Papp 1978). The synonymization is based on the original examination and comparison of the types of A . evonymellae and A. larbas. - Closely related to A. laevigatus (Ratz. ) readily differing from it by the following features: A. evonymellae (Bché.) A. laevigatus (Ratz.) 1. Body strong, relatively stout, 4 mm long. 1. Body not strong, relatively gracile, 2.2-3.5 mm long. 2. First tergite less long, at most 1.3-1.5 2. Szontagh. Apanteles faucula Nixon, 1972 - Easy to recognize by the following features: Head in dorsal view constricted behind eye, latter somewhat prominent. Disc of mesonotum smooth-looking with extremely fine punctation. - Distribution: also recently described from England, Hungary is its second distributional record. New to the fauna of Hungary. Localities: Budakeszi, ERTI-telep, host collected 2-20.VI. 1976, on Betula pendula, ex Co­leophora fuscedinella Z. (host new), 1 6\ leg, et educ. SzScs. Szár, amet of Salix caprea, 1 £. Apanteles gagates (Nees, 1834) - Within the laevigata s-group readily recognizable by its strongly and evenly brownish fumous wings, short metacarp, nervellus of hind wing characte­ristically sigmoid. - Distribution: supposedly Its area covers Europe (England, Belgium, Germa­ny, Sweden, Finland, Austria, Hungary) and the USSR (European part, Georgia), but rather sporadically. In Hungary listed only from a single locality. Locality: Kőszegi-hegység (= Mts. K.), Hétforrás, erdő (= forest), 1 p. Apanteles gracilariae Wilkinson, 1940 - The recognition of this species seems a hard task even for the specialist. Ovipositor sheath short, at most as long as two-thirds of hind tibia. First tergite 1.6-1.8 times as long as wide at hind, parallel-sided. Disc of mesonotum shiny to weakly pruinose, with fine, obsolescent and rather disperse punctation. Ocelli relatively large, hind imaginary tangent to anterior ocellus transecting posterior pair. Stigma evenly brown to blackish brown. - Distribution: since its description from England, reported only from Austria and Germa­ny. New to the fauna of Hungary. In the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Budapest) there are representatives from Switzerland (Engadin: Pontresina, 1 o) and from Germany (Harlach an Esche, 1 oj. Localities: Bicsérd, host collected 5.Vni.l971 on Syringa vulgaris L., ex Xanthospilapteryx anastomosis Haw., 1 o_, leg. et educ. L. Szalay. Budapest, Sashegy, 1 p. Mohács, host collected 31.VIII. 1975 on Syringa vulgaris L., ex Xanthospilapteryx anastomosis Haw., 1 p and 1 6*', leg. et educ. L. Szalay. Pécs, Misina, host collected 3.VII. 1977 on Fraxinus ornus, ex Xanthospilapte­ryx anastomosis Haw. 30. VU. 1977, leg. et educ. L. Szalay. Vácduka, Csöröghegy, ló'. - VI­VII, IX. Apanteles halldayi Marshall, 1885 - Together with A. inflmus (Hal.) characterized by their wide DI, i.e. distinctly one-third wider than high.
