is common in the southern Baical region, Dauria, northern, central and eastern Mongolia; subsp. klementzi Ogl. is known from Tuva and north-western Mongolia (Uvs and Bayan-Ölgij aimaks). In his publications (1970:251, 1971:222) LOPATIN gave a correct determination of the species. Cryptocephalus luridipennis luridipennis Suffrian, 1854 This species was erroneously determined as C. pustulipes 'Men. (LOPATIN 1968:210, 1975:204, nec LOPATIN 1971:222). Cryptocephalus pustulipes Ménétries, 1836 LOPATIN recorded this species partly under its correct name (19 71:222), and partly as C. transversalis Sffr. (1968:210, 1975:204), the latter is a full synonym of C. pustulipes Men. and is not a good species, as LOPATIN stated. Additional data: Ulan-Baator, Zaisan im Bogdo ul, 1450-1500 m., 13.
