S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 28/2. (Budapest, 1975)
Microchelonus atripes (THOMS.) Sporadic in Europe (Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Hungary: new record). Listed by GRAEFFE (1908) from Volosca, Dalmatia. Locality: "Sandzsak, Korita", 9 July 1917, 2 &, leg. CSÍKI (Akad. Balk. Exp.) Microchelonu s contra ctus (NEES) Common in the Western Palearctic Region. New to the fauna of Yugoslavia. Localities: Bosnia, Sarajevo, July 1931, 1 9, leg. FODOR. - 2. Kosovo, Ped, Pedka Banja, 600 m, 18 May 1971, 1 P-H, No. 14. - 3. Kosovo, Mts. Sar, Brezovica, 20-23 May 1971, l<j>, P-H, No. 16. Microchelonus d e via (TOB . ) Very distinctive among all other European Microchelonus species by its distally swollen abdomen (see Fig. 23, TOBIAS 1964 b: 202). Head and thorax scrobiculate-ruthorax. Length 3.5 mm. - Described and hitherto known only from Kazakhstan (USSR); this is the second report of its distribution. New to the fauna of Yugoslavia. Locality: Dalmatia, Ragusa (=Dubrovnik), 1914, 3 0., leg. HORVÁTH. Microchelonus elaephilus (SILV . ) Widely distributed but rather sporadic in the Palearctic Region. In the Western Palearctic Region listed from Italy, Tunisia, Israel, and Hungary (new record). New to the fauna of Yugoslavia. Locality: Kosovo, Ped, Pedka Banja, 600 m, 18 May 1971, 1 0, P-H, No. 14. Microchelonus erosus (HS. ) HELLEN (1958) relegated "erosus" as a jonior synonym name to retusus NEES. I can not accept this synonymy because both erosus and retusus represent a valid species. The differences between them are sharp as follows: M. erosus (HS.) (Figs. 9-10) 1. Head behind eye somewhat widening, i.e. head between tempóra wider than between eyes (Fig. 9). 2. Face not broad, 1.5 times broader than high. 3. Face coriaceous-rugulose. 4. Abdomen relatively elongate, twice as long as its greatest width, its hind two-fifths gradually constricted, strongly rugo-striated (Fig. 10). M.retusus (NEES) (Figs. 11-12) 1. Head behind eye strongly constricted (Fig. 11). 2. Face broad, twice broader than high. 3. Face rugose-roughly rugose. 4. Abdomen relatively oval 1.6-1.7 times as long as its greatest width, hind part broadly rounded, rugostriated (Fig. 12). Frequent in the Palearctic Region. New to the fauna of Yugoslavia.
