Microchelonus müiutus (COSTA) An insufficiently known species (FAHRINGER 1934, TELENGA 1941). I have two female (one from Hungary) and one male specimens. Closely related to M. microph thalmus (WESM. ), and a comparision with it seems useful: M .microphthalmus (WESM.) ocf 1. Body 2.8-3.2 mm long 2. Transverse sculpture of head above (vertex and frons) more rugo-striated. 3. Sculpture of thorax and abdomen strong . 4. Proportion of length of 3rd basitarsus to 3rd tarsal joints 2-5 as 10:15. 5. Basal third or half of hind tibia brown to light brown, or tibia 3 with a basal, more or less light brown ring. M. minutus (COSTA) 0$ 1. Body 3.6-3.8 mm long 2.
