A STAG FROM MYCENAF. 87 Fig. 7 Middle Helladic sherds - Matt-Painted (Argive Light) Ware. (1:3) Late Helladic Period Together with the pictorial fragment, nineteen sherds are dated to the Late Hella­dic period. Seven represent the Early Mycenaean period, with characteristic forms and decorations, like the hole-mouthed jar with spiral decoration, the in-and-out pa­inted bowl decorated with reed motif and the Ephyraean goblet. The LH I IIA — 111 H period is illustrated by characteristic open shapes as the pictorial krater, kylix and type A deep bowl, and closed shapes as the piriform jar, alabastron and cut-away necked jug. The latest fragment is a medium band deep bowl from Korakou, dated to LH 11 1С Early. 26. (Fig. 9, left; Fig. 9a) Dark-on-Light Lustrous painted body fragment from closed shape, with the beginning of a monochrome painted spout, most probably hole-mouthed jar (FS 100, 101).
