In spite of this there are marked differences in the dominance relations at the different localities as regards the relations of domesticated animals —wild mammals, small ruminants and cattle —hunted animals. The people of the Körös Culture hunted wild mammals depending on various phytocenoses of the foreststeppe vegetation of this region, namely in the first two cases the wild mammals of the steppe and in the latter two cases those of the forest were hunted. This indicates rather the varied hunting grounds than the actual environment of the settlement. According to the environmental demands of the wild mammals at LudasBudzak the species of the steppe (63,07 per cent), of the scrubby forest (20,20 per cent) and of the closed forest (16,38 per cent) ; at Röszke-Ludvár the species of the closed forest (72,51 per cent), of the scrubby forest (21,93 per cent) and of the steppe (4,16 per cent) were found. At Gyálarét-Szilágyi major and Nosza-Gyöngypart the difference is between the wild mammal species being at the first and at the sixth place. At Gyálarét-Szilágyi major a closed forest c e Ibid.
