(5) In 1957 in the course of a salvage excavation N. Kalicz found some potsherds characteristic of Felsőszőcs in a few pits which were dug in an Ottomány settle­ment. 3 3 Among the finds published by him the only intact vessel and the few potsherds found in pit V/a seem younger than the rest. 3 1 Probably life still existed at this settlement during the period indicated by the Berkesz —Demecser finds. Rohod. (31) Stray find. JAM, Nyíregyháza. A two-handled urn with grooves and warts on the shoulder came to light between Baktalórántháza and Rohod. Grey, intact. H. 23 cm, d. mouth 14.5 cm, d. base 10.2 cm. Inv. no. 57.252.1. (Fig. 16, no. 12). Rozsály. (48) Stray finds. MNM. Gold hair-ring found in a cup of the Berkesz —Demecser type (only fragments of it exist today). Around the vessel three battle axes with disks at their butt ends were stuck. Two of them have been lost. According to the publication of A. Mozsolics the finds belong to the hoards of the Opályi type. 3 5 Szakoly. (62) Stray finds. JAM, Nyíregyháza. Fiftyseven Bronze Age finds got into the Museum from the property of F. Szilágyi located in the northern part of the village. 3 6 Inv. no. 57.344. The presently existing finds: 1. Bracelet with seal-like terminals, undecorated, triangular cross-section. D. 6.2 cm. 2. Pin with straight-cut head, neck decorated with round-running and zig-zag incised lines. L. 12 cm (Fig. 18, no. 2). 3. Similar pin. L. 10.2 cm. 4. Pin with biconical head, undecorated. L. 11 cm (Fig. 18, no. 3). 5. Awl, with round cross-section, broken. L. 11.6 cm. 6. Crook-shaped pin, made of wire with a round cross-section, broken. L. 4 cm (Fig. 18, no. 4). 7. Pin with a spiral disk head, broken. L. 4.3 cm (Fig. 18, no. 5). 8. Ring, made of wire with a round cross-section. D. 1.8 cm. 9. Pin, with disk head, stem missing. 10. Fragment of a socketed celt (?). 11. Plate rolled up. Th. 2.5 cm. 12. Plate fragment. 13. Fragment of a sickle blade. 14. Bronze buttons, segment-shaped. D. 6 and 1.1 cm (Fig. 18, nos. 6—7). 15. Spear-head, willow-leaf shaped, rib in centre with a round hole on its shaft. Together with the listed bronze objects numerous potsherds both undecorated and orna­mented with grooves have come into the possession of the museum. Judging from their finish we may classify them to the Berkesz —Demecser types. Székely—Bencehegy. (24) Stray finds. JAM, Nyíregyháza. Urn fragments decorated with grooved warts and grooves as well as the sherds of a cup with a grooved shoulder came to light here presumably from a settlement. Inv. no. 57.346. Tiszabecs. (34) Stray finds. JAM, Nyíregyháza. D. Csallány and J. Makkay collected pot­sherds of the Berkesz —Demecser type on the land of the „Új Élet" Cooperative (from a settle­ment?). Inv. no. 61.157. From this site the fragment of a battle-axe with disk at its butt end simi­lar to these from Opályi got into the museum. Inv. no. 61.156. Tiszalök Rdzom-puszta. (26) Stray find. JAM, Nyíregyháza.
