beyond recovery, but then, there is not much we can do but to accept the damage and replant that which was lost.

Our tourist rooms are filled to capacity. The cold weather up north has driven our old timers south in greater numbers than ever before. Currently our temperatures are in the eighties and we rejoice that our ageing friends and residents are once again able to warm their brittle bones in the pleasant Florida sunshine. It is so good to see these yearly visitors and we are happy that we can be of service to them. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Butti are also in the area and it is always so good to see these old time friends.

One other joy that I wish to share with you is the fact that we were finally able to form an English speaking Sunday School class for our residents. This class was formed with the cooperation of our own Dr. Biro and the members of the Bethesda Baptist Church. We have been much in prayer about this and God has finally answered our prayers by giving us a very fine and well loved teacher in the person of Mrs. Maude Bretz. We are so happy to have her with us and because of her efforts our class attendance revolves around thirteen to fifteen people. We thank God for this and we will covet your prayers for the success of this undertaking.

Bethesda has been given a new challenge. God has blessed us so abundantly. It is now up to all of us to be equal to the trust that has been entrusted to us. Please continue all of us in your prayers. God bless you all. We love you. Sincerely Ernest j Kish

STINNER HENRIK

ny. lelkipásztor 1908—1985

Kedves magyar testvérünk fejezte be földi életét január 13-án, a British Columbian (Kanada) Kelowna városban.

Elköltözött testvérünk Magyarországon született, hivő család gyermekeként. Edesattya is lelkipásztor volt. 12 éves korában adta át szívét a Megváltónak s attól az időtől fogva szolgált az Úrnak. 15 éves korában többször helyettesítette édesanyát a szószéken.

Stinner testvér 1929-ben a budapesti baptista teológiai szeminárium hallgatója lett. Szemináriumi tanulmányai alatt különösen az újszövetségi görög nyelv keltette fel érdeklődését s ezt a nyelvet élete végéig nagy szeretettel tanulmányozta és használta bibliamagyarázataiban. 1935-ben házasságra lépett Petermann Máriával. Házasságukból négy fiú gyermek származott.

A második világháború előtt a Dunántúlon szolgált. A háború után, 1949- ben Kanadába költözött. Itt Jansenben (Sask), Torontóban (német és magyar nyelvű gyülekezetekben), Calgaryban, majd Edmontonban szolgált német nyelvű gyülekezetekben. 1973-ban vonult nyugalomba és Kelownaban telepedett le.

Temetése január 16-án ment végbe. Hat prédikátor társa, köztük Cserepka János testvér, kísérte utolsó útjára.

Hátrahagyott családtagjai, özvegye Mária, fiai Norbert, Arnold, Ernő és István, valamint férfi testvére és öt unoka az Úr intézkedésében megnyugodva tekintenek a jövőbe, amikor lesz boldog találkozásuk.
