eyes, ears, legs, feet, head are separate but integral parts. None of these parts have less importance than the other. Could we say our arms do not need our heads? No! Scripturally it further clearly states that there should be no schism (division) in the body, but members should have the same care one for another. God created each of us as unique individuals with our talents and interests. There is only one you. God’s 8. oldal creations are all originals. Therefore, original and unique contributions can be made from all of us if we are willing. We must all love and care for each other; if one member suffers, all the members suffer. Reconciliation in todays church is imperative and a must. Our churches must be reconciled one to the other. Ask yourself: “Am I a reconciler?” Annonymus 1980. november 1. ried about buildings, repairs, and a host of other excuses. They have never prospered. I have also known that gave to missions out of their poverty, as it were, who prospered. If we were to permit ourselves the luxury of analysing the world situation today, it would be very easy to come to the conclusion that it is a mess, and hopeless. The economy is terrible, Communism seems to male ever greater inroads in the Third World, national Teadership seems in disaray, morality is on the decline, and society doesn’t seem to care any longer. More ministers have left the American church, we are told, in the past twenty years than at any comparable time in history. More churches are closing their doors than ever before. Yet the time for mission and ministry has never been greater in America, in the world! There is no place in the Kingdom for quitters, hothouse plants, or people with withered faith. Now is the hour to bend every effort to extend the Kingdom, cost what it may, to the ends of the earth. And lo, He is with us always. ■— --------------— --------------------THE SEVEN LAST WORDS r “Father, forgive them-, for they know not what they do. ” '■ “Today shalt thou be with Me in Paradise. ” “ Woman, behold thy son: Behold thy mother. ” ] “My God, my God, why ! hast thou forsake Me?” ' “I thirst. ” ' 1 “It is finished. ” “Father, into Thy hands !■ I commend My spirit. ” GOD NOT ONLY LOVES, BUT GOD IS LOVE. HIS WRATH IS ONLY ONE ASPECT OF HIS LOVE. - Anonymus I will praise thy for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will on thy name: for it is good before thy saints. (Psalm 52:9) WORLD MISSION & STEWARDSHIP ALEXANDER LAMBERT The story is told about a man who lived by the side of the road and sold hot dogs. He was hard of hearing, so he had no radio. He had trouble with his eyes, so he read no newspappers. But, he sold good hot dogs. He put up signs the highway telling how good they were. He stood by the side of the road and cried, “Buy a hot dog, Mister?” And people bought hot dogs. He increased his meat and bun orders. He bought a bigger stove to take care of his trade. He got his son home from college to help him... But then something happened. His son said, “Father, haven't you been listening to the radio? There's a depression on. The Europan situation is terrible. Our domestic situation is worse.” Whereupon the man thought, “ Well, my son has been to college. He reads the papers and listens to the radio. He ought to know." So he took down his advertising signs, cut his meat and bun no Longer bothered to stand by the road to sell his hot dogs. And, his AMERICAN HUNGARIAN BAPTIST UNION RECEIPTS FOR THE MONTS OF AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 1980 Home Mission Bethesda Retirement Home $300.00 Mrs. Vilma Albright N. Not only is it a truism, but I have seen it at work in so many Churches during the years of my ministry. And, it always works well! As Christians we are going to accomplish for Jesus just about whatever we think we can do. This is probably simplistic, but it contains more truth than most of us care to admit. If the early apostles had let discouragement and a hostile society ingluence their thinking, the early church would never have gotten off the ground. If William Carey had followed his Baptist friends’ advice, he never would have gone to India, and the modern missionary movement would not have begun. If Hudson Taylor had let seemingly insoluable problems deter him, China would not have been opened up to Christian missions. And, we could go on, couldn’t we? I have know people who have permitted themselves to be overwhelmed life situations, and who have drowned in them. Churches that have tuned inward because of location, theology, or problem people have failed when they have been glowing successes. I have know other churches with poor locations, changing communities, and a host of problems that shouted failure, that have succeeded far beyond their wildest dreams. I also have know churches that have failed to support missions in the manner they were capable of because they were wor
