HISTORICAL ASPECT AND ACTUALISATION AT THE PEDAGOGICAL STUDIES Dr. JÁNOS BERENCZ SUMMARY Our article is an attempt to contribute some thougts to the reform of the Pedagogical High School concerning the pedagogical subjects. The article consists of two Parts the first one deals with the problem how we can succeed in realising the marxist historical principle by teaching the subjects „Introduction to Pedagogy". — „Didactic", — „Theory of Education".. The author touches also upon the historical investigations of pedagogical problems, and analyses 2 examples: the historical roots of socialist collective education and the historical formation of ideas related to the didactical process. The Second Part deals with the subject of ..History of Pedagogy". How can the teaching of „History of Pedagogy" be made more actual and practical? — that is the principal question posed by the author. The article examines the subject of History of Pedagogy — endeavouring to show the principal possibilities of actualisation. The author analyses the different levels and methods of actualisation emphasizing the role of seminaries and also he characterises briefly the publications of History of Pedagogy from the point of vieuw of scientific actualisation and practical value. 50
