December 11 - Bishop Vitéz at­tended the farewell service and recep­tion for theRev. Dr. László Medyesyin Wallingford, CT. December 12-The Bishop attended the George Washington Awards Dinner sponsored by the American Hungarian Foundation in New York. December 16-17 - Bishop Vitéz at­tended and officiated the funeral ser­vice for Mrs. Joseph Piri, wife of the Rev. Dr. Joseph Piri, former Synod presbyter of the Calvin Synod, in the First Hungarian Reformed Church, Cleveland, OH. Mrs. Piri departed this life after on December 12th after a long illness. Marianna Király as she serves in the First Hungarian Reformed Church, 69th Street, New York. The Rev. Dr. László Medyesy re-signsfrom the Wallingford, CT Hungar­ian Reformed Church as of December 31st, 1994. He was called to be a pro­fessor at the Gáspár Károlyi Hungarian Reformed University in Budapest. The Wallingford charge thus becomes va­cant. Those interested in this position are asked to call the Administrator, Bishop Vitéz. The Rev. Leila Havadtoy, recipient of Navy honors in her preparation for chaplaincy, is serving on a naval am­munitions supply ship at Leonardo, NJ and is currently on sea duty. □ COMING EVENTS Bishop Vitéz will attend the UCC Conference Ministers Meeting on Feb­ruary 7-14, 1995, in New Orleans, LA. The Calvin Synod Conference will meet in Pittsburgh, PA in the Parkway East Holiday Inn on March 15-16,1995. The Calvin Synod Meeting will be held May 23-26, 1995 in the Parkway East Holiday Inn, 915 Briton Road, Pitts­burgh, Pennsylvania 15221.
