A remarkable piece of art from the world-known legendary photographer, the magyar André Kertész. His photos from inside and outside of Hungary received proper acclaim all over the world. He is internationally known as the Prince of Photojournalism. After his youthful life in Hungary he lived in France, from France he came to the United States. Most of his life he lived in the 12th floor apartment overlooking Washington Square Park in Greenwhich Village. “I wanted to be above the trees, but not so high I couldn't see anything from my windows” was his famous saying.

A világhírű magyar Kertész András fényképészeti műve. Magyarországi és magyarországonkíviili képei híres művésszé tették. Hazája után Franciaországban élt hosszú időn át, ahonnan Amerikába költözött. Élete javát Greenwich Village Washington Square fölötti magasan épült lakóházának a 12. emeletén élte le, melynek ablakából vette fel a mellékelt téli tájképet. Híres mondása volt: ,,A fák lombjai fölött kívántam élni, de nem olyan magasan, hogy ne lássak semmit!”
