LELKIPÁSZTOROK MAS FELEKEZETBEN MINISTERS IN ANOTHER DENOMINATION Lukácsi Éva és Lukácsi László TISZTELETBELI LELKIPÁSZTOR HONORARY MEMBER Dr. Tőkés László, Püspök, Nagyvárad Dean' s Report The Western Classis has continued to work to serve those whom we are able to help. In the past two years, we have sponsored a person from Transylvania, were able to secure medical assistance for her, and provided hearing aid assistance. The cost of the air fare and the medical services and appliances were borne by the generosity of our members. In addition, this past year both our Classis as a group and individually our member congregations assisted students from Transylvania financially, and several of the congregations continue to provide monthly financial contributions to persons in the mission field in Transylvania. As in the past, we have attempted to keep in touch with Hungarian students in our area and involve them in our activities. The Western Classis holds its business meeting in the Fall, and its discussion/conference in the Spring. This enables us to make recommendations to the Synod in plenty of time, and still gives the Classis the opportunity to make needed proposals in the Spring should this be opportune. Meetings are held in Kalamazoo, which is only three and one-quarter hours from the Norridge congregation (the trip from Davison to Norridge is almost six hours). Rev. Koloman K. Ludwig, Dean 102
