Dr. Vitéz Ferenc, püspök: A Kálvin Egyházkerület
Churches have, (like sausage making, and cabbage roll dinners etc.) we have three specialities, which we believe are worth to be mentioned. 1. We are very happy to announce that re-started the tradition of having preparatory services before the communion services. These services provide opportunities for repentance and proper spiritual preparation before we stand around the table of our Lord. The re-starting of an old but very meaningful tradition is wonderful in itself. But we are specially proud of the fact that these services are prepared and lead jointly by Rev. Nyeste and our Youth Fellowship members. The homily is always delivered by a youth on a rotating basis. Not only did we bring back an old tradition, but we did it with the help of our youngest members. It is wonderful to see how serious they are in their preparation, and in the actual service. 2. Our Young Adult organization called: The Christian Friendship Connection Group, organized their first dinner at the church. It was promising to see, how dedicated these under 50 people were in preparing and serving the dinner. We hope that the tradition of providing delicious table fellowship opportunities will continue for long-long years to come. 3. The newest development in our congregation is the beginning of a partnership type of relationship with three other Reformed Churches in Columbus, one C.R.C. and two R.C.A. churches, together our membership is over 1000. We feel that this partnership holds a great promise of future joint ministry opportunities. We pray for all Reformed churches at each of our church services. We ask God for forgiveness and blessing for all of us. We hope to be able to serve our God almighty: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for many-many years to come, with Christian zeal, with brotherly love, and with faithfulness to the spirit of our Reformed fathers. 213
