Béla Poznan Calvin United Church of Christ I met the members of the congregation for the first time on Sunday, January 29, which gave us the opportunity to talk and to get to know one another. The next day, I preached the Word of God at both Worship Services which were followed by a special congregational meeting at which I was elected as pastor. Rev. Albert Kovács, General Secretary, was present on behalf of the Calvin Synod, who served as the administrator of the church and he also led the annual congregational meeting on February 13. We are grateful to Rev. Kovács for his dedicated work. On February 16, the Ash Wednesday Worship Service was held together with the First Congregational Church. During the Lenten season, Worship Services were held each Wednesday evening with the neighboring churches of Hungarian background followed by a reception in the following order: Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholis Church, Church of the Resurrection, St. Emery’s Roman Catholic Church, First United Church of Christ and finally in our Calvin United Church of Christ. 172
