Dr. Vitéz Ferenc, püspök: A Kálvin Egyházkerület
On March 19, my family and I moved from New York City to Fairfield with the help of many of our members and I began my ministry. My installation was held on Sept. 18 with Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz and Rev. Albert Kovács officiating. Fifteen pastors took part in the Worship Service along with many talented musicians and many guests in attendance. The M. Guild members presented me with a beautiful new robe. A remarkable banquet followed at Sante’s Manor in Milford with 250 guests as a result of the hard work of the installation committee members and the participants. This will remain a very memorable day in my life. In the fall, we began our Bible Study classes in three different groups. A congregational luncheon meeting took place on October 9 in Calvin Hall to discuss our annual budget and our personal pledges to support our church. We attended the 90th Anniversary Worship Service and banquet of the United Church of Christ (North and Laurel Avenue) Bridgeport on November 6 and the 100th Anniversary celebration of First United Church of Christ (Clinton Avenue) Bridgeport on November 27. I am expressing my special thanks to our Chief Elder, Árpád Béres for his faithful and dedicated leadership and as chairman of the Pulpit Committee and the renovation of the parsonage along with all those who devoted their time and talents searching for a new minister and repairing the parsonage for the family. :\m& MANVILLE, NJ Pastor: Rev.
