SOUTH NORWALK, CT Minister: Eugene Z. Szabó Report of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ of South Norwalk, CT. The New Year started with a changing of the guard at the Annual Congregational Meeting on January 26. The following New Officers were elected: Pres: Frank Dudás; V. Pres: Ernest Virgulák; Treas: Nancy Walsh; Comptroller: George Dudás. Eleanor Majoros was re-elected Secretary. Lenten services were held each Wed. during Lent. The theme was “Jesus Christ Superstar.” The Ladies Aid, Consistory, Sr. Choir, Men’s Brotherhood sponsored Pot-Luck dinners before each service. A “March 15th” Day service was held together with St. Ladislaus' Hungarian R.C. Church on Mar. 16th in our Dokus Hall. The choirs from both churches participated as did Elizabeth Hevesy. The English speaker was Rev. Eugene Szabó and the Hungarian speaker was Dr. László Csóványos. 143 attended the service. On Apr. 5th, the Eastern Classis Mtg. was held at our Church. Dr. Erwin Betts, a clinical psychologist/ordained pastor, spoke on “Stress in the Church." An excellent meal was served by the Women's Guild. On June 15th a Combined English/Hungarian Installation service was held at 10 a.m. in our Church. Participating in the service was Joseph Lucskay, our church organist and the Sr. Choir which presented special numbers in English and Hungarian. Rev. Dr. Ervin Betts gave the Invocation and read the Bible. Sara Kovats, our church's Lay Minister read the Bible in Hungarian. Rev. Andrew Harto preached in English, “Look to your Marching Orders”, and Rev. Imre Bertalan preached in Hungarian, “Szeresd a Te Egyházadat.” The Installation Service was con
