1980 81 1979 Confirmation Class. 27, 1979, the pastor, the building committee and the trustees were almost constantly in consultation with the builders, tradesman, and decorator. It was a great sigh of relief that the dedication on May 27th took place with a Service of Dedication and a banquet. The new address of the parsonage is 3020 - 175th St., Hammond, Ind. 46323. Telephone number is the same, 219-844-8632. The work of the church in other respects continued uninterrupted. Both the Hungarian and English services were held each Sunday especially with the help of Mrs. Maria Feher who conducted many of the Hungarian services. Also, the Confirmation of four new members was held. The choir under the direction of Mrs. Ruth Bancsi, organist, choir director of the church, sang every Sunday except during July and August. They also presented a special Palm Sunday Concert of Sacred Music. Two concerts were held by the Fenger High School Choraliers, an all black choir under the direction of Mrs. Bancsi who is also a music teacher at Fenger High School. During the summer special instrumental and vocal music was given by John Trimmel and Rose Ella Palfi. The Church School met regularly under the leadership of Mr. Richard Waggoner who near the end of the year had to relocate. The Church School finished the year under the able leadership of Mrs. Louise Pavelka. The Church School presented a beautiful Christmas program in December.
