BETHLEN NAPTÁR 217 Born in Hemádszentandrás, County of Abauj, Rev. Beky finished his grade school in his native town and entered the Gymnasium of Sárospatak, where he also completed his theological studies. He took two years of post-graduate work at the New Brunswick Theological Sem­inary and one year at Philadelphia. Rev. Beky, though very busy in his local and diocesan duties has found time to become executive member of the Alli­ance of Reformed Churches Holding the Presbyterian Order, Mayor’s Citizen’s Committee of Trenton, Governor’s Ref­ugee Committee of New Jersey, a member of the Supreme Council of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, a mem­ber of the Board of Managers of the Bethlen Home, and second Vice-Presi­dent of the Hungarian Reformed Federa­tion to which office he was elected at the 1956 Convention in Ligonier. Though his chief hobby is painting and he does enjoy his piano, he rarely has time left for these diversions because of his extensive duties. Rev. and Mrs. (Margaret Zombory) Béky have two daughters: Margaret and Gloria, both married to West Pointers, and one grandchild. STEPHEN SYPOSS of Viss, County of Szabolcs, Hungary, was raised in the United States from early childhood. He finished both grade and high school in this country. For thirty years he has been connected with the Lehigh Valley Railroad at Buffalo, where he is Chief of the Billing Bureau. Mr. Syposs is a member of the First Hungarian Reformed Church of North Tonawanda, N.Y. He has been a mem­ber of the Hungarian Reformed Federa­tion since January 1, 1924, and was elected to his third term on the Supreme Council of the Federation at the 1956 Convention held in Ligonier. His fine work was duly recognized. In addition to his work, his church, and the Federation, Mr. Syposs has many other interests, his chief hobby being politics. He was a member of the Civil Service Commission of the City of Tona­wanda, N.Y., a Republican Committee­man for 20 years, and is at present Chairman of the Tonawanda Republican City Committee. He is also a volunteer fireman and a member of the New York State Exempt Firemen’s Association. Taking an active interest in Masonry, Mr. Syposs is a member of Tonawanda Zoltán Beky, II. Vice-President, Trenton, N. J. Stephen Syposs, Tonawanda, N. Y.
