228 BETHLEN NAPTÁR National Youth Fellowship Conference of the Magyar Synod August 15-17, Toledo, Ohio, 1952 in program planning, youth leadership, recreation, personal and group devotions, religious drama and carrying out projects of Christian service. The three-commission plan for the organization of all local Youth Fellowship groups was prominent in the conference and has been central in the activity of the synodical cabinet during the last two years. All levels of Youth Fellowship work need to follow the same pattern of organization. Local church youth groups, area conferences and regional conferences are putting into effect the three-commission, or committee, plan of the Commission on: 1) Christian Faith; 2) Christian Action; and 3) Christian Fellowship. The Youth Fellowship Handbook, available from the Youth Department, 1505 Race St., Philadelphia 2, Pa., explains the work of each commission. Youth Caravans organized by the Youth Department have helped many youth groups of the Magyar Synod and other synods. A one-week stay during the summer in some of the Magyar Synod churches has resulted in an active youth program for the following year. Besides the Youth Caravan, the Youth Department has available a field worker, who can be secured by all churches throughout the year at no cost. The field worker can spend a week at the church with the pastor and the youth group in meetings to evaluate and develop a more effective youth program in the church. Special emphasis has also been placed upon developing closer relations between the local Youth Fellowships of the Magyar Synod and the youth groups of other Evangelical and Reformed churches. Regional Youth Fellowship conferences within the synod, such as Connecticut and Chicago, are working and beginning to work to carry out the Youth Fellowship program.
