Ingyenes cirkusz New Yorkban (Folytatás az 1-ső oldalról.) testek maradtak vissza bizonyítékául annak, hogy mit jelent a vezérek követése és a pártakció. A mai lapokat kezembe véve, olvasom a tegnapi cirkuszról a kapitalista beszámolókat. Ezekből megtudom, hogy miért is fajulhatott el annyira a dolog, hogy a new yorki rendőrség csak olyan kevés számmal jelent meg, bogy a halottnak bélyegzett és az élőhalott pártkommunisták futtukból visszafordulva, a kirendelt rendőrosztagot visszariasztották. Megírják, hogy a Wall Street - kapitalistáinak semmi kifogásuk nem volt az ellen, ha a Downing Streeti angol kapitalizmus ellen tüntetnek. Az amerikaiak is érdekelve vannak Indiában és — amennyire gyöngül az angol imperializmus ottani befolyása, annyira reménykedhetnek ők is, hogy befolyást nyerhetnek Indiában. A new yorki rendőrségnek semmi szándékában nem volt tehát beleavatkozni és a tüntetést megakadályozni. Ebből világosan kitűnik, hogy a kommunisták az imperialistaellenes tüntetés helyett jó szolgálatot tettek az amerikai kapitalizmusnak és hogy még ennek dacára is elverték rajtuk a port, beismert és kizárólagos oka a cirkusznak rendezése volt, melyet a két kommunista frakció a tüntetés előtt rendezett. It accepts the principle that the interests of the working class and the employing class are not identical. In accepting this principle, the industrial unionist denies what the trade or craft unions advocate, that the interests of the classes are identical. That the hunger and want of the working class is due to the fact that labor power is a commodity is becoming increasingly evident. The workers wage is simply the price of the commodity he must sell to the employers in order to live, and this price represents only a small portion of the wealth that he produces. <t>------------------------------------------The present capitalist system is made up of the wage workers, who perform all the necessary labor, but the capitalist owns the means of life. The one is the seller of a commodity, i. e., the laborer, while the other is the buyer of a commodity, i. e., the capitalist. So therefore the two have nothing in common. The worker toils and produces; the capitalist idles and appropriate. The worker receives wages only enough to enable him to do more work the next day. The capitalist pays the worker wages out of the previous surplus product that he produced. The worker has no means of production, the capitalist has all the means of production. The working class is essencial and should control the industries. The «apitalists are useless and should, — therefore be abolished. Betwen the two classes, there exist a class struggle, continuous and bitter. The trade unions are helping the employing class by keeping the workers divided in the same industry. by craft lines. Industrial unionism seeks to organize and unite all the wage workers in one industry or all in industries, to drop their tools when necessary in ease of a strike or lockout, not only in one industry, but all industries, thus making an injury to one an injury to all, i. e., the economic laws are such that any benefit that the capitalist class derives out of a worker is an injury to all the workers, This is the only real embodiment of the idea of solidarity of labor. Industrial unionism holds that the ultimate aim is not to be forgotten, to take over the means of production and distribution of wealth. Industrial unionism paves the way for the road to industrial democracy. Industrial unionism is the foundation of a new society. Industrial unionism combines the workers in such a way that they can run the industries themselves, that they will be able to control directly various industries under the truest form of democracy. The IWW is the only industrial union in the field. The only industrial and international labor union in the world. It is an economic labor organization, composed of wage earners only. Its aim is to organize the industrial workers of the world into a world’s organization. Its slogan is “Workers of the world, Oranize. You have nothing to lose but your chains.” Labor produces all wealth, all wealth must go to the producer. The workers must take over the means of production, the tools, in order to free themselves from industrial slavery, not until them, will they be able to be masters of their products. “By organizing industrially we are forming the structure of the new society within the shell of the old.” J. P. From “The Young Rebel”. Industrial unionism holds that there must be one union for all workers. Only by this means can the limits of the capitalist class upon the subsistence of the workers be met. A large industry may be owned by one employer, but where such an industry involves the work of different kinds of crafts, these trade men (where unions exist) are divided, — not united. It is a comon thing for a dozen or more unions to be represented in one industry. Each of these unions enter into agreement that conflicts with the agreement entered into by the rest of of the craft unions. When one of these crafts goes out on strike, the rest of the crafts remain on the job and scab on their fellow craftsmen and so on, just one continuous round of scabbery all the way through. Industrial unionism aims to organize the workers into one big union which is designed to embrace every industry in the field. What we aim at is not a trade, but a class union: not a loose federation of trade unions, but a single union under one constitution, and composed of industrial departments and industrial unions. Nagy a munkanélküliség Detroitban (Folytatás az 1-ső oldalról.) között olyanok, kik a múlt ősz óta semmit sem kerestek. Helyzetük igy érthető is. Összejöttünk egy taggyűlésre, ahol újjászervezésre került a sor. Pihent és mozgalmunkban jól ismert munkástársak foglalták el a régi helyüket. Az uj csoporttitkár Sütő Péter munkástárs lett. A lapkezelést Visi István fogadta el. Uj erők, uj emberek jelentkeztek munkára. Olyanok, kik már régebben ismerik az IWW-t és valamilyen okból nem dolgoztak a szervezetért úgy, mint lehetett volna. Most uj lelkesedéssel látnak munkához. Látják, bogy a kapitalizmus dögrováson van és újra hozzáláttak sírjának ásásához, amit az IWW építésével végezhetnek a legjobban. Tervbe vették az ifjúsági csoport, valamint a női szervezet felállítását is. Ha tekintetbe vesszük azt, hogy a régi működő tagok milyen erőket kaptak vissza, akkor kétségkívül sokat várhatunk és remélhetünk Detroittól. Dacára a rossz viszonyoknak, felvettem 18 uj előfizetőt, ami bi- bizonyitja, hogy Mozgalmunk és lapunk iránti érdeklődése a munkásságnak itt is fokozódik. Toledóba érve, hasonló helyzetben találtam a munkásokat. Vannak olyanok, kik már egy egész éve nem dolgoznak és igy nincsen a betevő falatjuk sem. Az iskolában egy jótékonysági társulat kö- nyöradományain tengetik magukat. Hetenkint kétszer, kedden és szombaton kenyeret osztogatnak nekik, ami legfeljebb csak attól menti meg őket, hogy egyszerre nem fordulnak fel éhen, hanem lassanként gyöngülnek el. Eör- dögh csukásnak birodalma ez, aki az éhes magyaroknak még égi ma- lasztokat osztogat. De ha a gyárosok nem engedik megkeresni a földi élet fenntartásához a leg- sziikségessebbeket és még sokáig igy tart, akkor meglehet, hogy hamarosan küldik az ördögöt a pokolba. 25 éves jubileum Az IWW összes new yorki csoportjai, a szervezet huszonöt éves fennállásának alkalmából nagyszabású nemzetközi mulatságot rendeznek julius 6-án a ZEDRES GROVE-ban. Szervezetünk angol, finn, olasz, spanyol ajkú tagjai, valameny- nyien résztvesznek ezen nemzetközi piknik rendezésében és természetes, hogy mi magyarok is. Arra kérjük tehát a Bérmunkás olvasóit, hogy teljes számban jelenjenek meg. A szórakozás, minden tekintetben biztosítva lesz. Útirány: A Lexington Avenue White Plains road feliratú subway veendő a 241-ik utcáig, ahol két autobus fogja a közönséget a helyszínre szállítani.
