Summary Present Archives booklet introduces three interesting projects of the town's architecture showing to the public history of: 1. Klapka-house (34 Klapka street) 2. Country Court (7 Rákóczi street) 3. Műkert and Colony of Artists (located between Műkert street and Budapest — Szeged railway, in the south of the town) 1. Chapter of history of Klapka-house presents a short period of youth of György Klapka. He is one the Hero Generals of 1848-49 Hungarian War of Independence. The chapter presents the house he spent two of his student years and reveals picture of those who built, owned or lived here. Also shows the story of the house after Klapka's leaving. Recalls its critical condition and unfair usage. Finally presents activity of artist János Bozsó, awarded with Mun­kácsy prize, who himself lived the destroying house for years. Mae­cenas' of his art and his mania for collecting helped him to build a row of rooms to create ethnographical collection containing a few thousands of pieces, this way appreciating the house, cherishing the memory of Klapka. 2. The booklet presents history of building of County Court, reflecting the economy and society of period of construction as well. Development of the town's new economic role, namely formation of grapewine and fruit culture as well as horticulture and their effects on the town's spatial structure are well emphasized. It presents the need of huge main square because of location of Country's biggest grape and fruit export market, the of constructing new, high capa­city transport road between the railway station and the market, and need of enlarging of the railway station. The chapter shows us the way of judgement and buildings of justice in Kecskemét during period of absolutism. There is a separa­te part dealing with foundation and placing problems of King Law­court, namely transformation of public building of one-time „Csere­pes" house.
