ELET BERGEN-BELSENBEN LIFE IN BERGEN-BELSEN — „Gépírással a mieink a katonák között felírtak bennünket és elhelyeztek bennünket barakokban. 3-3 ágyféle egymás fölött. Mi még aránylag jó helyet kaptunk a nők és gyermekek egymás mellet, apuka pedig a férfi barakban az övéi között. Szalmazsák volt és pokrócz, szerencsére hoztunk magunkkal párnát és takarót. Kaptunk egy levest és lefekhettünk. Olyan halálosan kimerültek voltunk, hogy elaludtunk azt sem tudtuk hová kerültünk. ” (Gruber Irma visszaemlékezése) “We were typed onto the list of soldiers and placed in barracks. Into 3 bed-type structures above each other. We still received relatively good places, with the women and children next to each other, and father among his own, in the male barracks. There was a straw mattress and a blanket, but luckily we brought a pillow and duvet with us. We had some soup and we went to bed.
