Ida Lencsés: "Scrolls I — II—III" 1998, 3 pieces: 138 x 19 cm Individual technique; the material is dyed can­vas, fur, paper, pastel, glue, and charcoal This "Scrolls" series was an experimental undr­taking for the work entitled "Primary Scrolls" (1998, 1.4 x 22 m), which represents the style of the artist's latest creative period. In the series are depicted her usual geometrical forms arranged in longitudinal bands. Purchased with funds from the Hungarian Ministry of National Cultural Heritage, 2002 Inv. no.: 2002.438.1-3. Women's summer frock Made in Margit Meyer's Women's Fashion Salon (Szervita tér 1-3, Budapest), c.1940 Length: 107 cm This is a sleeveless frock narrowing at the waist and supplied with a V-neck. The skirt part, which covers the knees, was made broader by the inclusion of three larger and four smaller inserts. The material is silk georgette embel­lished with festoons consisting of yellow, orange and pink flowers and green leaves on a white ground. A semi-circular pelerine made from the same material accompanies the frock, as does an under-garment made from silk.
