9. RELIEF DECORATIONS FOR BANK PALACE IN BUDAPEST (1911?) The exterior sculptural group on the dome of the Teatro Nacional has been modelled as well by Maróti in Budapest and the Hunga­rian firm Jungfer moulded it in bronze and transported it to Mexico. The middle part of the group of figures is formed by garlanded ring dance performing female figures. The composition is crowned by the vulture struggling with the snake, the heraldic figur­es in the arms of Mexico (Fig. 6). A remark­able adornement of the interior decoration is the mahogany panelling, what reminds to a certain extent the interior set-up of the ocean liner luxury of that days. 10 136
