S. % ******x************************x************ In authorizing the enlargement of “Reformátusok Lapja” from eight pages to sixteen pages, the Board of Publication and Sabbath-school Work took the first forward step in the development of its work in behalf of the immigrant population. For many months, as we watched the steady growth in the circulation of this Magyar paper, we have felt that the time was rapidly approaching when this enlargement would have to be made. Therefore in the preparation of our New Era Budget, provision was made for this increased expenditure. As soon as the announcement was made that almost the entire New Era Budget had been subscribed, action was taken by the Board authorizing immediate enlargement of the paper. Again, it should be said to the credit of the Editor, Dr. Harsanyi, that this increase in the size of the paper is the fulfillment of a promise made to him when he assumed its management two years ago. At that time the condition of the Reformátusok Lapja was very discouraging. The Board felt that it A REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJÁNAK HALADÁSA. 1236, azaz Ezer-két-száz-harmincz-hat UJ ELŐFIZETŐ 2 év alatt! Mikor a Publ. Board elhatározta, hogy a Reformátusok Lapját 8 oldalos újságból 16 oldalas újsággá teszi, — ezzel az első lépést tette meg a bevándorlottak — közötti egyházi munka fejlesztéséhez. A mint hónapról hónaira figyeltük ennek a lapnak folytonos növekedését, — éreztük, hogy gyorsan közeledik az az Idő, a mikor ezt a megnagyobbitást meg kell tennünk. Épen ezért már az egyetemes egyház New Era költségvetésében előirányoztuk ezt a meghövekedendő kiadást. Mikor aztán arról értesültünk, hogy az egyetemes egyház a maga teljes egészében elfogadta a New Era köutség előirányzatát, — A tanács azonnal megtette a lépéseket a lap megnagyobbitásá- ra is.
