Beginners and children welcome, and instruction qiven at both. 1. Budapest Equestrian Club, 7 Kerepesi út (across the road from the Eastern Railway Station just beyond Lóvásár u. —“Keleti pu.” metro stop.) Open throughout the year. In winter you can ride inside the huge hall. (Tel: 113-1349) 2. Petneházy Riding School, 2-4 Feketefej u. (Tues-Fri 9-12 and 14-17; weekends 9-14; tel: 176-5937). In a beautiful setting just 10 km from the centre. Riding trips through the hills organised. (By car via Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor, Hűvösvölgyi út and Nagykovácsi út. By public transport—no. 56 tram from Moszkva tér to the terminus at Hűvösvölgy, then no. 63 bus four stops to Adyliget. Walk back from the bus, cross the road, up Feketefej u. and over the brow of the hill.) Tennis Tennis courts can be hired by the hour at following places. The first two are in Pest, the others in Buda, though all are fairly central. Rackets can be hired from the “hire shop” at 71-73 József körút. 1. Népstadion Sports Club, 12 Istvánmezei út, by the People’s Stadium. Mid-April to mid-September. Intensive week-long training for school-age children in the summer. 2.
