THE MESSENGER Newsletter of the Kossuth Club January, 2003. Vol. 9. No. 1. „The Concert Must Go On!” This proved to be true when three days before the Dohnányi Memorial Concert pianist Bálint Vázsonyi had to cancel because of illness. However, he arranged for another artist to perform in his place and we were fortunate to hear an outstanding young pianist: Angelica Sganga gave an inspired and spirited performance and was rewarded with a standing ovation at the end of her program. We thank our sponsors for their donations to help the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Milestones. With this issue we start the ninth volume of the newsletter.
