Between 1977 and 1980 the factory developed in leaps and bounds: the conditions of waste processing were established, in the mould casting foundry hydraulic moving of the tools was realized, and the pressure foundry was equipped with cold-chamber oil-hydraulic machines. After being detached from the Csepel Works, the light­metal foundry Qualital operated as an independent factory of Metalloglobus from 1980 to July 1985. From luly 1, 1 985 it was, and is still, in operation as a new company, with a renewed organization and under the authority of the Ministry of Industry. The best little private firm Beside the initiatives of the large-scale industry, the enterprise of Imre Simon's artisan's company was important, too as it supplied the whole country with aluminium home coffee machines. It was on April 26, 2006 that the workshop of the outs­tanding private entrepreneur of the socialist world, lmre Simon got into the possession of the Hungarian Museum for Science and Technology (predecessor of the Hungarian Museum for Science, Technology and Transport). Imre Simon's name is linked with the history of the 'Atomic" coffee machine and the famous high­quality Hungarian espresso coffees. The Budapest workshop and shop of legendary fame operated, from 1947 to 1977 in 61 Szív street, in the 6th district, and from 1 977 to 2004 in 1 0 Liszt Ferenc square, equally in the 6th district of the Hungarian capital. The owner of the independent coffee machine manu­facturing and repair workshop, Imre Simon was born on July 26, 1906 in Keszthely, and died in 1983 in Budapest. He was brought up in a bourgeois family. His father was dr.
