Audience Relations, Programmes The opportunities offered by our auditorium require us to allow certain events organised by the Professional Association of Postal Workers, the Museum Endorsement Union, and our Dimension Associations to use it, as well as the Scientific Association for Telecom­munications and Information Technology. In addition, we plan to organise regular pro­grammes for students and children, while continuing to hold meetings of the Hungarian Society for Philately, and, in 2001 we will be hosting participants in our museum coffee shop programmes here as well. Publications • 120 Years of Hungarian Telephony CD-ROM (with HUF 10 million in support from the Telecommunications Fund). • At the Service of Hungarian Telecommunications (portraits of 20th century engineers). 10 booklets, with HUF 5 million in support from the Telecommunications Fund. • 2001 Yearbook of the Foundation of the Postal and Telecommunication Museum. • Publication of a guide to the exhibition Museum in the Museum in Hungarian, English, and German. Investments, Renovations Foundation investments: • We shall transfer antennas and a ditch-digging machine to the open-air exhibit at Diósd. Investments by the Founders: • Matáv’s plans for 2001 call for preparing the construction designs for a Telecommuni­cations Exhibition Centre and Museum. • The Hungarian Postal Service and the Ministry of Transportation and Water Manage­ment will reach an agreement on expanding the space of the Stamp Museum. Investments planned with support from competitive grants: • Expansion of the Postal Museum at Balatonszemes, and establishment of a postal worker memorial. Budapest, December 19, 2000 X 214
