To the Postal Museum • Ferenc Orbán, an outstanding philatelist and postal historian resident in Denmark, presented 16 postal maps and 85 map reproductions for the collection of documents. His earlier donations prompted the museum to establish a distinct Ferenc Orbán ar­chive-unit. • Dr Lajos Makláry and Dr Valéria Baranyai Makláry (through the good offices of Mária Csávás) added some important documents, from the estate of Dr Lajos Hencz, to the collection of certificates and documents. • The Training Centre at Matáv PLC’s Szeged Service Centre presented some telephone and telegraph-transmission, telegraph exchange-testing and teleprinter equipment, along with some overhead line-construction materials. • The Erzsébet Telephone Exchange of Matáv's Pest Telecommunications Directorate donated some Rotary 7A2-system switch frames and some trunk-testing and inspec­tion tables. • The Real Estate Directorate of Matáv PLC augmented the collection of objects by donating a local-battery III/25-type hand-operated telephone exchange and local-bat­tery 37-type telephone receivers. • First Hungarian Telephone Cable Ltd formally presented several art works relating to the cable network: a group of allegorical statues in Herend porcelain by György Vas- tagh Jr, an oil painting by Ferenc Mácsai, a woodcarving of cable-drawing workers by Gyula Kiss, and three jubilee tableaux of photographs. The company also provided the collection on telephone history with some typical hand tools for cable laying and in­stallation, and some other tools and cable-technology instruments. • On his retirement, Dr Ferenc Morvay, head of department at Hungarian Post headquar­ters, presented a Viennese desk made in 1824 and an alabaster clock—once the proper­ty of László Szép, head of department at the Budapest Postal Directorate. • László Horváth Egri, a member of the museum staff, presented a woven silk mural of English make. • László Binder, Mrs Gusztáv Esztergályos, Mrs János Gyalay, Csaba Horváth, Erzsébet Horváth, Mrs Lajos Kiss, Dr György Lombai, Mrs Ernő Valló and Sándor Kusnyir donated radio and television sets. • Ottó Molnár, a graphic artist with Hungarian Radio PLC, presented some applied graph­ics for the picture and drawing collection.
