Remarks. - The new species, Zele cubiceps sp. n., is characterized by its subcubic head from all other species within the genus Zele; it seems nearest to Z. rutilus sp. n. and Z. albiditarsus CURTIS, 1832 (Holarctic Region), the three species are distinguished with the help of the key as follows: 1 (4) Temple in dorsal view rounded (cf. Fig. 23) to receded (Fig. 18), eye 1.6-2 times as long as temple. Hind coxa punctate, interspaces more or less greater than punctures (Fig. 16). 2 (3) Temple in dorsal view rounded (cf. Fig. 23). First tergite (or petiole) more broadening posteriorly, twice as long as broad behind (Fig. 17). Femora less thin, hind femur 6-6.5 times as long as broad. Ground colour of body brownish yellow. Çd : (7.5—)8— 10 mm Z. albiditarsus CURTIS 3 (2) Temple in dorsal view receded (Fig. 18). First tergite (or petiole) less broadening posteriorly, 3.6 times as long as broad behind (Fig. 22). Femora thin, hind femur 8.5 times as long as broad. Ground colour of body rusty. Ç : 8 mm Z. rutilus sp. n. 4(1) Temple in dorsal view less rounded (Fig. 11), eye 1.4 times as long as temple. Hind coxa rugulose (Fig. 13). Ground colour of body rusty brown. Ç : 8 mm Z. cubiceps sp. n. Zele ebefal sp. n. Ç (Figs 23-27) Material examined. - Holotype Ç + 1 ? paratype: Nepal, Khumbu, Khumdzung, 3900 m, 21 June 1962, leg. G. EBERT et H. FALKNER. - TWO female paratypes Nepal, Solu Khumbu Himal, 7 km E of Lukla, 3450 m, 1 July 1993, leg. M. HREBLAY et G. CSORBA. Holotype and one paratype are deposited in the Zoologische Staatssammlung, München, two paratypes are in the Hungarian Natural History Museum (Department of Zoology), Budapest, Hym. Typ. Nos 7726-7727. Etymology. - The species name "ebefal" is a combination of the first half of the personal names of the German naturalists, Dr. G. EBERT and Dr. H. FALKNER who have collected the new species. Description of the holotype Ç. - Body 7.5 mm long. Head in dorsal view (Fig. 23) 1.76 times as broad as long, eye one-third longer than temple, latter rounded receded, occiput excavated. Ocelli large and elliptic, POL almost as long as OOL (Fig. 23, see arrows). Eye in lateral view 1.54 times as high as wide and one-third wider than temple, latter slightly broadening dorsally (cf. Fig. 32). Malar space slightly less than half as long as basal width of mandible. Head smooth and shiny, clypeus and upper part of face with rugulae. - Antenna somewhat longer than body and with 42 antennomeres. First flagellomere six times, penultimate one 2.4 times as long as broad. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.6 times as long as high. Precoxal suture rugulose (Fig. 24). Propodeum weakly carinated, areolae uneven to rugulose. - Fore femur ten times and hind femur eight times (Fig. 25) as long as broad apically. Outer side of hind coxa finely punctate.
