(1997): New braconid wasps (Hymenoptera, Braconidae) in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, 5. — Annls hist.-nat. Mus. natu. hung. 89: 157-175. Abstract - Nine new braconid species are described belonging to four subfamilies: (Gnaptodontinae:) Gnaptodon topali sp. n. from India; (Meteorinae:) Zele cubiceps sp. n., Zele ebefal sp. n., Zele pereron sp. n. and Zele rutilus sp. n. from Nepal; (Euphorinae:) Leiophron cacuminatus sp. n., Leiophron mutilus sp. n. and Leiophron topali sp. n. from India; (Adeliinae:) Acaelius angustus sp. n. from Australia. Following the descriptions the new species are related to their nearest allies. Comparison of the female holotype (from the Philippines) of Acanthormius bakeri WATANABE with a female specimen (representing the same species) from India. The species Avga oblonga PAPP, 1990 is transferred into the genus Parachremylus GRANGER, 1949: P. oblonga (PAPP, 1990) comb, n. With 56 original figures. INTRODUCTION In the present paper nine new braconid species are described, their specification is given in the abstract. The new species come from Australia (one Acaelius species), from India (one Gnaptodon and three Leiophron species) and from Nepal (four Zele species). The type specimens of the new species were collected by Hungarian naturalists: G. HANGAY & A. VOJNITS (in Australia); GY. TOPÁL (in India); G. CSORBA, M. HREBLAY, L. PEREGOVITS, L. RONKAY (in Nepal); and by German naturalists: G. EBÉRT, H. FALKNER (in Nepal). The type-series of the new species are deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, except the following: the holotype Ç + 1 Ç paratype of Zele ebefal sp. n. in the Zoologische Staatssammlung, München (+ 4 Ç paratypes in Budapest), the holotype Ç + 1 Ç paratype of Acaelius angustus sp. n. in the Australian National Insect Collection (+ 3 ÇÇ and 1 din Budapest). In the descripton of the new species the following abbreviations are applied (after VAN ACHTERBERG 1979: 248-249): Wing venation: C-Sc-R = costal vein, cu-a = nervulus (fore wing), nervellus (hind wing), m-cu = recurrent vein, r = first abscissa of radial vein, SR-1 = second abscissa of radial vein, J-CUJ = first abscissa of discoidal vein, 2-CU1 = second abscissa of discoidal vein, 1-M = basal vein, 2-M = third abscissa of cubital vein, 2-1A = second abscissa
