DRUCE, according to JÁVORKA (1929: 126). The valid (synonym) name is Ccntaurium pulchcllum (Sw.) DRUCE var. emarginatum (W. et K.) BORB. according to JÁVORKA (1957: 152), Centaurium pulchellum (Sw.) DRUCE f. emarginatum (W. et K.) BORB. according to Soó (1966: 618). Centau­rium pulchcllum (Sw.) DRUCE (1898) is the valid name according to TUTIN et al. (1972: 59), PROKUDIN et al. (1987: 257), DOSTÁL (1989: 807). The specimens on this sheet XI. No. 131, which is the type, consist of five leafy plants with flowers, fruits and roots. On KITAIBEL'S label: "Erythraea emarginata Inter clivos arenosos Cottus Pesth et Csongradiensis 7-bri. Flores albi et rubri".
