Paizs Péter: „15+" (Kiállítási katalógusok - Szentendre, Szabadtéri Néprajzi Múzeum, 2004)

• We rarely meet an artist who is capable of remaining faithful to his deep-rooted conviction during his entire lifetime. The whole work of Péter Paizs is a clear construction referring to bright architectonic shapes and characterised by an order freed from all unnecessary elements. Since I know him, he has always remained consequent concerning his artistic thought. His latest works, exhibited here, represent this way of approach in a more comprehensive and generous way. Visual art is not only about the principle of composition, colours and shapes. Its subject is ethics as well. To produce and to teach with quality, with inner belief, with intelligence and professional knowledge are the only values which raise the painter or the sculptor to the rank of a master. I recognised such a master in the person of Péter Paizs. Now, looking at his big canvases, I remember the French philosopher, Joseph Joubert's words which he wrote in his diary: "Happiness born from the good order - is silent harmony."
