XI PRAENORICA FOLIA HISTORICO-NATURALIA 2009 A LYPUSA TOKARI ELSNER, LISKA & PETRU, 2008 ÉS Ai. MAURELLA ([DENIS & SCHIFFERMÜLLER] , 1775) MAGYARORSZÁGI ELTERJEDÉSE (LEPIDOPTERA: LYPUSIDAE) FAZEKAS Imre 1 Lypusa tokari Eisner, Liska & Petrû, 2008 and L. maurella ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775) in Hungary (Lepidoptera: Lypusidae) — Information is given on the geographical distribution of Lypusa tokari Eisner, Liska & Petrû, 2008 in Hungary. In this study, specimens of Lypusa tokari are reported for the first time in Hungary. General distribution of the species: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, N Italy, S Slovakia, Slovenia. Data in the literature from Hungary: Balatonakaii, Csákberény, Csepel, Örkény. New data from Hungary: Harkány, Felsőcsatár, Agárd. Distributed from 0 m up to 400 m above sea level in Hungary, in Slovenia (Vipava Nanos) up to 700 m. Structure of genitalia and morphological characteristics of wings are illustrated. The habitats and the Hungarian distribution of the species are discussed, but limited information is available about habitat preference. Xerothermophilous species; the moth lives on rocky steppes, slope steppes, closed loess sand steppes and open sand steppe oak woodlands. Univoltine; the moth flies from early April to mid-June. Adults readily attracted to light. The larvae and hostplants unknown. Distribution is shown on maps. The Lypusidae have yet to be included in the revision of the fauna of Hungary. The systematic position of the sister species Lypusa tokari and L. maurella needs critical revision. With 5 figures.
