ARRABONA 37.1999. ARCKÉPEK From 1859 he took economic and agricultural charge of his Order's properties. After the annulment of corvée in Hungary he reorganized the economic system for the Order's estates. In 1860 the king confirming the Premonstratensian election results presented him the provost of Csorna. His 24-year charge resulted financial and intellectual reinforcement in the Order and the education in their schools were raised to a high standard. Apart from the ministry and teaching he produced a significant work in economics. He was an establishing member of the Economics Society, first only in the county of Vas, then of Győr, and finally also the founding member of the National Hungarian Economics Society. His works on wine and fruit cultivation were published in scientific reviews. 346
