Szakáll Sándor - Jánosi Melinda: Minerals of Hungary (Topographia Mineralogica Hungariae 4. Miskolc, 1996)

Sándor Koch set the aim of the mineralogical elaboration of all Hungarian localities. From the late 40s up to the early 60s with his colleagues (Éva Donath, Gyula Grasselly, József Mezősi) he published several studies on their research concerning Flungarian minerals in Acta Mineralogica-Petrographica, a periodical he himself founded. Ultimately he published his chief work, his monograph presenting Hungary's minerals (KOCH, 1966). The work presents the parageneses and the minerals involved in a genetic-topographic layout. The volume discusses in our count about 180 species, omitting discredited and doubtful species (Fig. 12).
