According to these experiences, the differences among villages mainly revolve round the chances of industrial employment in the given settlement or its direct neighbourhood and round the developed infrastructure resulting from employment. In this respect and that of a relatively high intellectual potential only the major national, economic centres and the „holiday hamlets" can compete. There is a great gulf between the majority of small villages and their associates of a more fortunate size though even this group is not homogenous. It should be considered as a new result that through demographic data and infor­mation on household structures it became possible to separate a group of dwarf­hamlets in which along with the obsolescent original settlers also the immigrant, mobile and highly productive strata are present.
